Juneteenth Celebration

June 19 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

The museum opens free of charge at 9:30a.m. and the program begins at 11a.m.

We will also have food vendors, children’s activities, and more outside of the museum after the program. Festivities will last into the evening until around 2p.m. CST

We will have an array of interesting speakers with the keynote being former Alabama Attorney General Bill Baxley. Baxley helped obtain a pardon for Clarence Norris in 1976, who was the last living Scottsboro Boy. He also has ties to the Scottsboro community through the 1975 trial of Hugh Otis Bynum, which he prosecuted.

Join The Scottsboro Boys Museum in a day of remembrance and the celebration of freedom.
