• 2026 Fee for entries, $60.00 NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Payable when you apply online using credit card.
• Unpaid applications not considered.
• Print your receipt.
• Upload your original artwork through registration form in the Paint North Alabama Plein Air Competition FB page.
• Submit RGB color images in jpeg format.
• No more than 4000 pixels on longest sides, 1400 on shortest sides 300dpi.
• Submitted images should represent 2024 – 2025 plein air artwork.

NOTIFICATIONS
Artists are selected from all applicants by the Selection Team. Selected artists will be notified by email and the list will be posted on the Paint North Alabama Plein Air Competition Facebook page by March 9th.

• Artist must be 18 years of age.
• Participation at Awards Sale and Reception May 22nd is required by artist or surrogate.
• Artwork submitted for awards must have been created en plein air within Jackson County limits during 5/18 – 5/22 event. Must be your original composition, your direct observation, not another artist’s work.
• Acceptable painting mediums: Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels.
• Artists are responsible for framing their exhibited artwork, bringing them to River’s Edge Gallery, 209 S Market Street, Scottsboro, Alabama and hanging on displays provided.
• Art with finished edge is acceptable. Painting size – 8” x 10”.
• All paintings submitted for awards must have “Paint North Alabama” event stamp on substrate and be labeled with supplied Paint North Alabama logo labels. Location must be provided on label.
• Promotional Use: You grant organizers rights to use your art/headshot for promotion.
• Safety: Artists are responsible for their own safety and must not block public access.
• Disqualification: Risk of disqualification for using photos, studio work, or impeding others.
• All exhibited artwork must be for sale. Artists will set their own prices.
• All sales during event must include sales tax and be processed by River’s Edge Gallery whether sales are made during reception or off your easel.
• 85% of sales to Artist and 15% to River’s Edge Gallery. All net proceeds will be gifted to Northeast Alabama Community College’s Art Program for Art Scholarships.
• Must sign your acceptance of terms and conditions and hold harmless agreement at time of registration. Artists should carefully read and understand the terms of such agreements before signing.
